What is the APR?
The Business Registers Agency (Agencija za privredne registre, APR) is the Serbian authority that keeps the register of companies. Incorporation, changes of registered data and status changes take effect through registration with the APR.
What are status changes under Serbian law?
Mergers, acquisitions by merger, spin-offs and divisions — procedures in which a company transfers assets and liabilities to another company or is divided. They are carried out under the Companies Act and registered with the APR.
Do you work with foreign founders?
Yes. The office works with foreign nationals and foreign companies in Serbia. Communication is possible in English and Macedonian, and the first conversation can take place online, by prior arrangement.
How long does incorporation or a status change take?
It depends on the type of change, the readiness of the documentation and the procedure before the APR. You receive an assessment of the steps and timeline after the initial conversation.
